Writing: This unit covers the basic terms and
principles of writing reports from a Criminal Justice stand point. When incidents occur
using the "Use-of-Force", it is very important to have the skills required to
write a thorough and detailed report utilizing the proper Criminal Justice terminology and
procedures as it would be presented as evidence in court. It is important for law
enforcement officers to understand that they must be prepared for court… not if
but WHEN they go to court.
